Radiohead And What They See

Radiohead The King of Limbs

I was pleasantly surprised to see an article about Radiohead at The Gospel Coalition, written by Mike Cosper.

I think it’s these contrasts—the human and the robotic, the individual and the milieu, the real and the fake—that make Radiohead’s message so powerful and resonant. It’s a fairly hopeless perspective, but their fans aren’t listening to them for solutions. They listen for solidarity. Someone else feels lost. Someone else feels like everything is too big, too fake, too plastic.

Cosper has given a great analysis of Radiohead’s career and often odd message. It’s worth a read in my opinion.

The comments leave a lot to be desired, unfortunately. I’ve thrown in a comment there myself but haven’t had a response to it. I’m sure when you read the comments you’ll see why some of them I think are a little nauseating. Thankfully not all of them are like that.

And by the way, Radiohead really are a great band.
